after the help I received tracing Emma J Spires I obtained a copy of her birth certificate, her mother was a Jane Dickens, obviously first wife of William H Spires, I can't find any trace of Jane's birth or marriage, can anyone help please?

I can't find that first marriage to Jane anywhere.

Here's his second marriage. He's a widower, she's a widow. His address 28 Caroline Pl, hers 27 Caroline Pl. (He got married to the widow next door!)

Oddly there are two entries for William Spires, one says age 20 and one 26, one born slington the other Bucks.....mistake on the part of enumerator?

This Jane Dickens marriage in Winslow incl Stewkley , so may be the jane on the 1871 I posted

I am trying to find more information about William Henry Spires, born around 1849, I believe he was married twice, first to Jane Dickens, and later to Esther Glanfield, I can find no trace of his birth or his Mother and Father.
