Jude - you might still want to give that site a try but I have to warn you that there is no extra info when you open up the 'records' - not much more than a transcription of the name, reg no etc. |

I took out a year's subscription to FWR a few months ago when they had a special offer on. Thank heavens I didn't pay full price! It has to be one of the worst sites I've ever come across. |

I only do a month PAYG at a time and make sure it doesn't auto-renew! Yes it is not the best...but it has its uses.....my recent post about the possibility of a Naval Reserve record for my grandfather...the guy from Pentyrch "Master" of a vessel...was awarded the OBE so definitely not my grandad!!!!! |

Sylann, I've looked at Forces Records for John McAlpine There are 63 earliest record is 1815 a Royal Scot The next is 1854. Sorry Not of any Help. |
