One of my ancestors, Francis Finegan, states in 1841 census that he and all his family came from 'Ireland'. (No where in particular - just Ireland). |

Marcus, in 1841 it states that the whole family was born in Ireland, but in view of the London marriage this seems unlikely doesn't it. Wonder if it's just an error? |

I don't see a military record that fits- Ann, where's that information from? |

I wonder who Emma is? Not even a birthplace given! |

There does seem to have been a daughter called Margaret - and she would appear to have been baptised twice! Unless there were two Francis (bricklayer) & Margaret living in the same street and having a child with almost the same name on the same day! |

Magaret is the eldest daughter of Francis & Margaret Finegan (as mentioned by potty). She married Henry John Finch (as mention by brummiejan). Emma is their daughter !! |

Ancestry brings up over 5000 people born in Ireland living in the Whitechapel Reg Dist in 1841. That is the only census Francis 1791 appears on. Margaret is the one whose POB changes from Ireland in 1841 to St Georges in 1851. |
