Llamedos Pam Report 15 Sep 2014 15:47

I am trying to find the daughter of my 3x great grandmother from her first marriage, she was born 1844 but didn't go with her mother when she remarried , I have her on the 1851 census living with her grandfather Richard Cule at Hendry LLanishen Cardiff, then in 1861 still with her grandparents but living at Maes Y Berllan Llanishen Cardiff this time her name is spelt as Doil after that I don't seem to be able to find any record of her. by 1871 her mother Margaret Cule/Doyle/ Williams has left Cardiff and has moved to Montgomeryshire with her husband Ephraim Williams where they both died before 1881, would be grateful for any help in any more sightings of her. Many thanks Pam

AnnCardiff ...

Jacqueline already posted the whole household information for Richard Cule and family in the 1861 census

and I already posted the registration info for the birth of Elizabeth Doyle 1844

and the registration info for the Margaret Doyle + Ephraim Williams marriage
(without the details of fathers etc. but I think Pam has those details already)

(and I have also posted the 1851 census info for the Richard Cule household
and the registration info for Margaret Cule Doyle Williams' first marriage)

I guess I think it does matter because it clutters the thread and makes it go to a second page several posts before it needs to :-)

AnnCardiff Report 15 Sep 2014 23:28

by the way Pam, coincidence today - been to a family funeral for one of my Llanishen rellies and when I got home I have a message on my phone from a Llanishn historian who is looking into WW1 names on the war memorial - one of whom is my great uncle - I'll ask him if he has any info on your quest :-)

Llamedos Pam

Llamedos Pam Report 16 Sep 2014 08:36

Thanks everyone and thanks Ann for passing on the quest, I have got quite a lot of information about the Cule's curtesy of a Cule family member a a book called "a step back in time" which takes the family back to approx 1735. I was speaking to another family searcher about the book and we said how sad that she didn't go with her mother who went on to have several more children with Ephraim Williams having lost her father Michael Doyle as a little girl and then her mother goes off to start a new life leaving her with her grandparents and after the death of her grandfather she seems to have disappeared. Many thanks to you all for helping pam :-D
