Hello, my lovely people! :)

You guys have always been so helpful and I thank you for that! But I'm stuck again and can't get my head around quite what to do! :/

The furthest I've managed to get back, is my 4x great grandad, Samuel Leeds, he was born in 1792. He was a Parish Clerk and also a Schoolmaster, he lived in Brandeston, Suffolk.

Interestingly, in a list of Cambridge University Alumni, I think I may have found his grandfather & great grandfather, but I'm missing the link between them. I have quite a lot of detail, so if anyone thinks they might be able to help, please get in touch!!! I'm thinking parish register?..But I've no idea what I'm doing or where to look?

Robert Gooch (1786, Great Glemham, Suffolk) & Mary Nunn (c. 1785, Brandeston, Suffolk) were married on 5th May 1818. Their only known child, Mary Gooch (1819, Melton, Suffolk), married James Campen on 14th September 1847. Their sons, Louis and George Gooch Campen were both publicans. Louis appears to have inherited the White Hart and George had the Swan at Bradwell by Coggeshall

I have all the detail about him and the family from him to me, but I'm trying to make the link backwards! Who were his parents? Of particular interest is 12th one down, Samuel Leeds, he was schoolmaster at Woodbridge, which is where my Samuel lived (Brandeston/Woodbridge, same place). If I can make the link between the Samuel on this list and MY Samuel, then I can trace them back even further as there are several generations on this alumni list!
