I am trying to find a marriage record for Christopher Fell born 1789 in St Pancras. His wife is Gertrude, maiden name unknown, born 1796 in Cornwall. Help required |

I can't see a marriage, but if this is their daughter, then her birth cert will give Gertude's maiden name: |

Looking on Findmypast the page number is given as 46 and that is what the image looks like to me. |

I am going to speculate a bit here. If this is Frances 1871, then might her Aunt (who is unmarried) be her mother's sister?? She is born St Lawrence Cornwall, same as Gerrtrude. |

I think brummiejan's thesis is proved correct by the 1861 Census |

There seems to be a long gap between Thomas Fell and Francis, and I wondered whether Gertrude might have been a second wife ................... |

Sorry for delay in replying, been away. Thanks for all your help. I have ordered a birth certificate for Frances Fell as suggested and will see if Gertrude's maiden name is on it. |

Maybe they married in America - 1851 gives son John's POB as that; also may explain why his baptism was so long after his birth: |
