Looking for Priscilla Hicks born in The Scilly Isles in c1814. She married James Bacon at St Mary's Whitechapel on May 17th 1841. Her father was John Hicks, a Mariner. I have records of her children but nothing more for her or John. I couldn't find any records for her mother.

Thanks so much for all your posts, Ann. My friend for whom I am doing this lives in San Francisco so the American link seems to be correct. The John Hicks birth in the Scilly Isles looks very promising too.
It's a mystery how Priscilla came to be in Essex before her marriage. I suppose it's possible that James Bacon was in the Scilly Islands for some reason and met her there.
