Please can someone look up Mary Elizabeth Proctor b 1885 and Willliam Proctor on the 1911 census. They were living in Lincolnshire.
I do not know anything about her except she married Will Proctor in 1904 and then married John Gray in 1916 in Lincolnshire. John Gray is my family.
Her maiden name could have been Carrott but I cant find a birth for anyone of that name.
Thanks for your help.

There is this one on 1901 - they seem to have a connection to Lindolnshire via the 'lodger' ??

That looks promising. Thank you very much for all your help I think I will have to send for marriage cert and see what information that gives. It should at least give her fathers name.

I think this is the correct girl in 1891. I guess the birthplace is actually Wombwell which fits the birth registration:

This looks to be the 1871 for Mary (who must have remarried a Dixon) and Walter from the 1891 I posted above:
1871 England, Wales & Scotland Census St Martin Street, St Michael, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England
Household Members First name(s) Last name Relationship Marital condition Gender Age Birth year Occupation Birth place Edward Carrott Head - Male 45 1826 - Lincolnshire Mary Carrott Wife - Female 39 1832 - Lincolnshire, b Navenby George Carrott Son - Male 21 1850 - Lincolnshire William Carrott Son - Male 15 1856 - Lincolnshire Edward Carrott Son - Male 10 1861 - Lincolnshire Charles Carrott Son - Male 3 1868 - Lincolnshire Walter Carrott Son - Male 0 1871 - Lincolnshire
The children all born Lincoln, Lincolnshire. Men of working age are labourers.
Note the son William b 1856 - seems to be the contender for father of Mary Elizabeth born 1886.

For the purposes of elimination, this is the marriage of the Mary E Carrott that Dea found on 1901 census:
Surname First name(s) District Vol Page Marriages Mar 1905 CARROTT Mary Ellen Sheffield 9c 503 Rayner Levi Sheffield 9c 503
I've found them together on the 1911 and her birthplace of Seaham checks out.

Thank you MC - It looked 'possible' at the time but the one you have since suggested does look to be the correct one.

This is from a tree on Ancestry which claims that this is the same William but I have found MANY errors on that tree just at a quick glance !
Residence 1911 2 Apr — Age: 56 LINCOLN, Lincolnshire, England Age 52; Abode: William Carratt; Bricklayer Labourer. 4 Gadsby Court, Sincil Street (Single - possibly William and Ellen didn't marry, and Ellen died soon after 1881 ?)
Death 1927 25 Apr — Age: 72 LINCOLN St Nicholas, Lincolnshire, England Age 72; William Carratt. Abode: Gadsby Court, Sincil Street, St Swithin
Occupation Around 1880 onwards, William may have been in the North Lincolnshire Regiment, His son died in the New Barracks which also suggests that Ellen had already died.
