Hi All,
Many thanks for this information.
Gins.........you have spotted the mystery about married name v. maiden name. I have no other details about this woman except the 1891 and 1901 census where she tells us she was born in Ireland. It's possible her married and maiden name were the same ( my grandmothers was) or she reverted to her maiden name.
Chris Ho..............you have posted the 1891 marriage cert. showing the mystery. thanks for that.
Reggie........... thanks for the 1881 Census with another John Ferris who was a vet I shall follow this man up.
I't taken myself and a cousin in Candian ages to try to work out who this woman was.
