The 1851 census seem to fit in with their ages and other dates and the one Jax sent earlier in the week , with John Follett and Hannah Gill, so it looks like that's it for now

I am thinking it is not the Monkton one as James was born Mar 1824 and they were not married at that time anyway (not that it really mattered)

There were two Charles Folletts born around the same time...one was baptised Somerset who is with his parents above....the other was baptised Greenwich the same as James who is living away from his parents but still in Combe St Nicholas

James was also living in Combe st Nicholas and the other brother George was with the parents.....in Combe st Nicholas

When you get back this far it is a lot is guess work and trying to eliminate the wrong family....when there could be a couple of options to choose from

That's what I think and that's why I am pondering on who's belongs to who,and I could not find out anything on James mother and father, to confirm which one is the right one. how do you find out the mother and father if there is now birth certificates back then?? again thanks

Looks to me that the Monkton tree link given above has just lumped all the Follett births together when they belong to two different couples from the same area....give or take a couple of miles

This one was an Ag lab which I would think was the one married to Hannah Monkton

I did not know that. On the marriage certificate John's Occupation was listed as a labourer, Jame's was listed as a labourer also, but on the Birth cert: of James daughter Margaret in 1847 he was now a cabinet maker, thanks

There will not be a birth cert for James...he was born before civil registration in 1837

What was John his fathers occupation on the marriage cert in 1844?

I Have had a look at that link you gave me, and it give me the same info that I have on my tree, and as I said earlier I am not sure If I have the right link? Jax on this querry gave me another Name that it might be Hannah Gill, I guess I will need to get the Birth certificate for James Follett to find out for sure which one is his Mother? I got a lot of my Follett info from someone in OZ & NZ, and it was not authenticated by me back then so now I am paying for it, I have a copy of James Follett and Mary Ann Cox's marriage certificate, also a copy of their daughter Margaret's Birth certificate, and they match, But after that?? all the info I have or looked at only gives Mother's first name "HANNAH" is it Gill or Monkton? shall have to find out for sure

Thanks for all that information on Folletts, and yes that 1851 census of James born Greenwich is my James,and the daughter Margaret is the one who married Robert Thomas Ashley,and they would be my G/Grandparents and the folletts my G/G/Grandparents, if I got that right and they came from Toxteth Park Liverpool, so it is looking like John Follett And Hannah Gill are James 's parents, so I have a lot of deleting to do??
