yes i see that too. ive found it as 1797 on the England, Select Marriages, 1538–1973 and thats what ive gone by.

whichever record i go by, i just feel so stuck as i cant find out who his parents were

I've just had a look at the image for that Pallot's marriage record that gives the year as 1807 and I think the transcription is wrong.

Looking at the image it looks as though the bottom section has been chopped off and what should read "97" has been picked up as "07"

Im currently on that website now. he married and died in walthamstow so have been going under the assumption he was born there too like the rest of the family
