Thankyou Detective and Flip ( love the names). I will have a go at those leads tomorrow ( 10. 30 pm here in OZ) >> Thanks again for your help. I am a bit rusty at this as I have had a break from the family research in the last two years, but it is starting to all come back to me. Only have my fathers side to complete. My mothers was an amazing journey, with a diversity of Characters, mixing with royalty and beggars. One even survived the Titanic. And one was on the Mayflower in 1620. Can't wait for my fathers tree to come alive, so to speak. xx Have a great day .

Do you think he was born as Lawrence Jarvis & his mother subsequently married Laws & he added his stepfather´s name to his own.
It happened fairly commonly.
