It certainly looks like 'Tips' to me - could the address relate to some sort of accomodation for workers on the coal tips> - There would have been plenty of them in the area? |

I'm assuming she died giving birth to Hannah, whose birth and death were registered in the same quarter. Have you considered getting her birth cert for place of birth? Or do you have them on the 1871 census - i can see them 1861 but not 1871. |
