Curiously on the Empress of Ireland's arrival in Canada, 8 Oct. 1908 there were 2 Jobsons, Stewart, 47, uncle and Vincent, 21, nephew going to join Vincent's father, Stewart's brother, Can't make out first initial second initial is W. Jobson, 68 Radbourne St., can't make out city. They're listed as tourists.

Looking at the original image of the outgoing passenger list, I'm pretty sure that the initial is a V and not a D.

It's a bit smudgy but when you look at how the D is written on "Dr" further up it bears no resemblance.

The UK departing passenger list is unclear, but the D Jobson they have transcribed could by V - and travelling with S Jobson in 1st class.

Vincent arrived back in Southampton on the Orinoco, arriving 28/12/1908, travelling with Samuel Jobson. The had boarded in Jamacia and were in first class.

I think they're travelling to Kingston (presumably Ontario) via New York

Thank you for all your research but if its the V Jobson which it looks like it is then its not my lead unfortunately. The D Jobson I am trying to locate is from Birmingham.

Thanks

Nichola, if you post his details we may have some luck ... Name, year of birth, and where you last had him in census so we can see any family, these all give leads.
