There is probably no doubt about the bride and groom but, it is sensible to just name one of them and the GRO reference. I once named a bride and groom and the bride had reversed her names from Lucy Jane to Jane Lucy - the failed application cost me an extra £3!!!

This is the site you need Teresa:

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/

You can apply online and it costs £9.25.

Follow the instructions and tick to say that you have the reference no. - Give this + the year and quarter it was registered.

Come back if you have a problem.

Dea

Dea Report 6 May 2014 16:05

Did you send to the GRO for the marriage cert and did you quote the reference number given above?

You really do need that cert in order to be sure that you have the correct death cert.

Who was the informant on the DC, and what was their 'qualification'?

Is Henry E Evans anywhere in your tree? If Henry didn't register Charlotte's death, perhaps who ever did believed them to be married.

Hi Teresa,

You seem, by accident, to have posted this thread four times - could you please delete the other 3 and then give us all the info from that death cert?

Thanks,
