That's strange rootgatherer as it states there are 8 people living in the house, 4 males and 4 females.

But, I agree, they certainly do appear to be the deaths of the two children.

Apparatus engineer seems an extremely strange occupation for Ellen. :-)

Yes, rather odd Alviegal. Although many included the names and ages of dead children, they were often crossed out by the enumerator and not usually included in the total number of inhabitants. Perhaps the fact that they were included they escaped the red ink correction.

It's confusing.
The 1911 census says that Arthur, son of Stanley & Ellen, was born in Hampshire.
But the baptism record says he was born in Stamford, Lincs.

I can't see an Arthur Eley born in Lincolnshire, in the 1911 census.

Re the 6 children born, 4 living, and 2 deceased, it looks as if Stanley has entered all 6 children, including the 2 who died.

i believe kathleen and arthur had 2 sons robert and david some tree users have listed my parents Daisy bryan and ernest eley as the parents of these 2 boys which is incorrect as i have copies of their birth records
