I would be very surprised if that 1877 marriage wasn't him - all the details tie up.

I would suspect that the daughter Mary that is on the 1891 census is the Marial that was with Lars and first wife on the 1881.

But if Susan has information to the contrary then please let us know details of his marriage to Elna.

On the image for the 1877 marriage (a first marriage?) that safc posted above, Lars is a tailor and his father was a farmer.

Mary's father was a tailor.

Neither previously married, both of full age and give address as 48 Poland Street.

Witnesses: Thomas Walters and Ann Bingham.
