Can I please ask for more help, this time with Sarah Wink who I know nothing about apart from she married my gr gr grandad Mark Rollinson in 1846.

When Mark married Maria Grew in February 1875 he stated he was a widow.

Information from the marriage certificate .........

Sarah Wink
of Full age ................... ie, over 21
Father name and occupation:- Thomas Wink, Smith
Address:- Brick Lane (BUT that is the same address as Mark)

I wonder if Sarah was actually not dead when Maria and Mark got together??


That could account for the fact that they did not marry until 1875.


I note that the 1851 Census says Mark was 22 ............ which means that he was only 17 when he married Sarah in 1846, stating that he was of Full Age (which means over 21).

One of the possible reasons for stating 'full age' is that parental/guardian permission for the marriage was not required.
