I am hoping someone may be able to help me. I have recently come across information re my Shacklock tree that would take it back to a Rychard Shacklock 1490 - 1556 whose son was Robert Shacklock born Sturton le Steeple, Nottinghamshire 1518 - 1608 died in Misterton, Nottinghamshire. |

There are public member trees on Ancestry for this family, but without proof, as Elizabeth says. |

Yes, my information came from other Ancestry trees! Perhaps the son of Robert might be mentionned in Misterton records. This was a Richard Shacklock born 1550 Misterton who married a Margaret Cowper b 1558. Their son born Misterton was Edward Shacklock 1580 - 1651. I really hope these facts do have truth in them! |

I no longer live in the UK so do you think if I rang Notts County Council that they would be able to help me re records? |

Absolutely no idea, I'm afraid! But no harm in asking. |
