Hi, I have my great grand aunt Mary Ann Bryant born c1845 in Strood, Kent. Her parents where John Wheeler Bryant and Sarah Bryant nee Fry. I have her in the 1851 Census and then there is a Mary Ann Bryant in the 1861 Census giving as being a servant. I think I have found a marriage for her in 1864 in North Aylesford, Kent to a George Frier Bacon. I can find nothing about her from 1864. I have looked on Free BMD and Ancestry but am still searching. I am trying to find if, indeed, these two did marry and if so did they have any children? I cannot find their deaths either. The problem I have is when you search the marriage it shows other names as well but I can never work out which pair is which. |

Hi, I did find that one. Is there anyway of telling please who Mary Ann Bryant married? Her name is showing that she married but, as before, not sure if it was George, but you have now clarified that one. When I check on Ancestry it shows 4 males and two females, am confused now. When I look on Free BMD it shows 3 males and two females. |

Hi Gins, obviously that was my posting before but regarding some of the other Bryants. Sadly it doesn't help me with Mary Ann unless of course I'm missing something. Thanks for your time and help though. |

Mike, am so sorry I completely forgot about that and got myself confused with Sarah. Why can't I find them in any of the Censuses after they married? |

Doubtful that they would have divorced. |

You might have to apply for the cert, just quoting Mary Ann's details. |

Kent RD now covers all of Kent, except the Medway towns and the London boroughs. |
