It was her mother who was Sarah. 	Thank you for all your research on my behalf Prickly Holly. I will try and get a look at the census images to see if Sarah can be misread as Thurza etc. It might just be a local accent which caused the change when given to the census taker. Meanwhile you've given me more to put on my tree, Thanks

Thurza or Thirza was quite a popular name in it's own right but was also sometimes used as a variant of Theresa.
