Hi Mike, I agree its really like hitting a brick wall, Carl did attend his mums funeral, he would of been around 23 years, and we believe he was living in the London area. Maybe Ashford in Kent, any help would be helpful.

If he wasn't adopted.........does anyone know who brought him up?

dawn Report 7 Mar 2014 17:31

Hi. Mike.
We have searched many records and also asked as many relatives who seem to agree that Carl wars never adopted but did attend his Mothers funeral in 1961.
We did email Breakspeare cemetery to ask whether they could help but unfortunately the data protection forbids any information being given out third parties.
So as you can imagine we are hitting a brick wall with all the information we need being on the other side of it, it's very annoying.

When Ada joined the WRAF, she certainly would not have done so with a child in tow.....................

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 3 Mar 2014 12:37

When you say 'the last we heard from (Carl)', do you mean he attended his mother's 1961 funeral? Was he still known by his registered name, and in that order?

The alternative is as Reggie says - he was adopted.

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 3 Mar 2014 12:34

The boy was probably adopted..............

Add yourself to the national adoption contact register.

What do you actually wish to know about your father's family?

Have you taken note of all of the info found for you?

Have you done any research?

Hi Mike also I am looking for a family member who seem to have vanished his name is Carl Michael Cullen Born June 1938 in Doncaster to Ada Cullen who joined the WRAF and died in service in 1961. That was the last we have heard from him, we urgently need to get hold of him Thank You so much for all you have done for me. Regards,

Hi Mike, I don't know anything about my dads parents and their parents. Nobody left to ask, think they were all from Faringdon Oxford but that's just a guess :-(.
