Thanks, Astra. But I do not think these can be her. On her marriage record, fathers name is Charles as I definitely know that she married Philipp Hinderer. Their child Maud is my grandmother. on a census for 1891 I have found a Caroline Thompson living as a servant in a German household of Bakers, named Wohensiedler, in St George of the East. As Philipp Hinderer was also a German baker, I've sort of put 2 and 2 together and assumed that this was probably her.
I'll just have to keep searching (or send for the birth cert)!
