Thanks, Astra. But I do not think these can be her. On her marriage record, fathers name is Charles as I definitely know that she married Philipp Hinderer. Their child Maud is my grandmother. on a census for 1891 I have found a Caroline Thompson living as a servant in a German household of Bakers, named Wohensiedler, in St George of the East. As Philipp Hinderer was also a German baker, I've sort of put 2 and 2 together and assumed that this was probably her. |

You were all very helpful in helping me find The name of Carolines father, yesterday. Is the only way to find her mothers name, to obtain her birth certificate? Or are there other records, I can look for, before I resort to this? |

Ancestry has the London marriage registers and father's names and occupations are given on them. |
