Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 4 Send Message	I have been trying to trace Lavinia Wison's husband not sure if she was married twice she was born in Yarm Circa 1887 I know she had a daughter called Olive I have got two possibles a Robert William Gibbon and a Charles Stephenson but not sure how I can progress Thanks hpe someone will be able to help Margaret

Member Since: July 2008 Posts: 18 042 Send Message	These are births in North Riding for the name around that time: Surname First name(s) District Vol Page Births Sep 1886 Wilson Lavinia Stokesley 9d 650 Births Mar 1889 Wilson Lavinia Guisbro' 9d 485 Stokesley district covered Yarm so if your Lavinia was definitely born Yarm then the 1886 birth is hers. Guisborough covers Coatham so it looks like the girl who married Charles Stephenson isn't yours.

	Researching: Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

	To find factual info...obtain copy certs - if her father was known, he will be named What was her daughter's surname at birth? WHEN was Olive born? How did you work back through the daughter without knowing who her mother married? Or...................was Olive born out of wedlock?
