If they married in this country then the marriage would be in the normal BMD's. If she went abroad with him whilst he was in the army and they married abroad it would be in the British Nationals Armed Forces Marriages. You can find these on Findmypast. |

I wondered if they never married because she said when she (lily) was about 7 her mother died and the family wanted to take her off her father, so John got a barge to bring them to Sheffield from Birmingham. Lily never saw any of her extended family after that. wish we had got deeper into it at the time, Lily was a very secretive person |

I saw the Buffery couple on the 1911 but there is only 1 Emma Corns born in Warwickshire at the time around 1877 |
