Received death cert today for Sarah Harvey This is the death PricklyHolly found for me which looked like my Sarah but sadly it is not

still not sure if I should be looking for Harvey or Bennett still looking

Perhaps it was an unhappy marriage and she wanted to forget him?

Perhaps he died very soon after the marriage and she was just used to using Harvey?

The information on the death certificate depends on the knowledge that the informant has.....

If Sarah married John Bennett why would she revert back to Harvey after his death ?? and if I had the death cert for Sarah Harvey would it say widow of Charles or John Bennett so that I know for sure I have the correct Sarah's daeth

Do you mean you are looking for the death of Sarah, or their marriage, or 1841 census?

Is he married or a widower on the certificate?

She would only be named on the cert if she registered the death....................

You'll need to look for a marriage to find her maiden name before you can hope to research her antecedents. I presume that's what you mean by 'trying to find' her.......................

I'm trying to find Sarah Harvey b abt 1797 in Newport Shropshire I found the family on 1851 Census living in Marsh Lane her husband Charles Harvey died in 1853 still in Marsh lane his wife is not on death cert
