Could well be lynden55. Although the age is out - which is why she didn't turn up on a born 1887 =/- 2 years search - but all else fits. The other Mary in Islington does fit the correct age, but could be the Mary Elizabeth also b around the same 1887 mark

thats quite possible as his father was henry she may have thought that it is intriguing knowing his age at least i have the right mary, interesting the mother died within a few months and then he ended up in the workhouse with mary

She may have assumed her brother was named after his father so gave him the same christen names on her marriage cert

i have the original marriage certificate from 1914 mary has no middle name
and father is john henry fifield deceased although that is the only mention of
a middle name i,ve seen
i also have a photo of mary with an older lady who obviously inst her mother
