The 1841 you refer to. Ann Bird is aged 6, if correct that makes her born 1834/5

Thanks yes it is this one. I have found an Ann Bird living in Liston in the 1841 census. The family she was with aged 5 was the Knopp family, Benjamin Knopp was a witness at the marriage of Henrietta and George so I think Ann and Henrietta were the same person. But still can't find her parents, in view of the fact she was only 5 and living with another family I think this is a dead end. Thanks for the help

Is this your family? Henrietta b 1835/6 according to this, so pre GRO registration, you will need parish registers or possibly family search. But as she has been described as full age (21+) in 1853, then it might be a bit earlier!

Simply might not have been registered

Henrietta married George smith in 1853 "both of full age". I can't find a birth register for her. Her father is listed as unknown on marriage cert. they were married in melford Suffolk, but I think she was born in Essex. Although the borders where very close
can anyone help me find her birth??/
