Is there anyone out there who might be able to help me with info. on the above? It's my understanding they were both born in the Cavan/Meath area of Eire, and lived in the Govan area of Glasgow. They were both born c1850s and married in c1876 before the birth of their son, another Patrick in 1877. Whether or not there were other born of this union, I don't know however, nor do I know if Patrick or Elizabeth had any siblings. I would love to find more info. Patrick Snr's occupation was that of general labourer and Elizabeth's that of shirt cutter. My husband would be tickled pink if I were able to discover more of his ancestry. |

The marriage should be on Scotlands People but you need to buy units to view actual records after a free search |

Not married in 1881 according to this census, nor a son Patrick unless he is not with them at the time. Image not available on FMP, you'll need Scotland's People |

You need to get Patrick Junior's birth registration from Scotlandspeople. That will give the date and place of his parents marriage. |
