Hi can anyone please help , I'm trying to find Henry Edward Stevens on a census , with no luck at all , I have his marrage cert he was 39 at the time of marrage in 1919 and was married in aldershot his fathers name was john Stevens ,

You said you couldn't find him on a census.........so presumably you have access to census records???.

I have tried before but was very Unsure if it was the right Stevens family and I only received the marrage certificate today , thank you for all your help

Was it normal for people to travel around so much back then , my great aunt from my grans side said she thought they might have been gypsys

People had to go where the work was..........just as they do now

But......the distances are not that great..............

Any thoughts on the 1911?

That's very interesting the 1911 must be my great grandad sister , i see Mary Stevens was a widow by then so john must have died young
