Dianna, I've already searched high and low for a 1919 passenger list for Rosemary but not found one. I think it's quite possible that brides of Canadian soldiers may have travelled back with their husbands - I've rarely found a civilian passenger list for them.

I think we have well and truly ruled out that 1942 Vivian Jenkins marriage that I was so proud of :-)
He was the other fellow whose name was so helpfully misspelled in his birth registration, who settled in Alberta.

Iron Acton was in Chipping Sodbury reg dist so this was very likely Frank's birth

Births Mar 1894
Jenkins Frank Chipping S. 6a 213

I remembered that you can search the Canadian Legion's Last Post magazine on line for records of veterans' deaths back to 1985 ... no Vivian Jenkins is shown there ...

Vivian is not listed among WWII war dead ... in case the other son whose name is unknown was killed in WWII, I searched at the CWGC site for any Jenkins in the Canadian Forces with the keyword Frank or Rose in the record but there was none with those parents ... of course in many cases parents are not listed and that might be especially true if they were long deceased ... but nor was there any Canadian Jenkins casualty whose age at death matched with a 1921 birth ...

On Canada Voters Lists there is a V Jenkins in Manitoba in 1935 and a V Jenkins in Manitoba in 1962 (also a Mrs V Jenkins that year). I can't see any more details than that (and if it were possible the people were still living I would not post them here!)

I believe it was quite common after the war for Canadians to resettle in the United States ............
