Find Ancestors

I am researching the Hindhaugh family and have come to a full stop, I have a Robert Hindhaugh, born 1768, Ellingham, Northumberland, Married 24th Feb 1793 in Ilderton, Northumberland, to a Mary Dixon. b,1772 Ilderton, Northumberland.
I am unable to find a connection to my tree as I am unable to find his parents. I have tried free BMD etc and can find nothing except his marriage and family of the marriage.
Can any of you good people out there please help?

One can tell from the change in easting and northing that Eglingham is 9 km E and 2km S of Ilderton.
