I am trying to find out what killed my great aunt (Beatrice Edge) and family as they all died in 1918 – can anyone help? |

I can see why you are thinking flu as there was a disastrous pandemic at that time. But as GlitterBaby says, you need a death cert to be sure. |

Ah so we was repatriated home then! Most of my relatives then was in Bunbury and most of them married or are buried at St Boniface Church. This will lead to another question that has been bugging me for ages as I have been trying to find out if there was a military hospital close my, or somewhere were soldiers were nursed back to health? I have tried to look this up but can not find anything, May post this separately. |

Don't you just love the 1911 census for Beatrice, - with father James, mother Martha, although Beatrice has been crossed out as not at home. They've named the whole family, including their 2 dead children. |

Oddly, I cannot find a medal card for Charles using both regiments and Nos, which make me wonder if he served abroad. Have you found him in 1911? As his wife died before him, he could have been home on compassionate leave. |

His wife was registered on the page before Charles, and the 2 children a couple of pages later - so it looks like they may all have died within days of each other. |

Yes, very sad for a whole family to be wiped out in a few days. |
