Wow, seems to be my chap - he was married to a Susannah Carter. And if Sussanah Clarke is a granddaughter, you found my distant aunt's marriage! Wow, thank you - are they on the 1851?! |

Thank you Christina, now I misread the 1841 - my ancestor was Edward Carter married Susannah Carter in 1806 in Wrangle, Lincolnshire. |

No reason at all why 2 brothers shouldn't marry women with the same given name, but unlikely to be brothers given their places of birth. |

And baptisms for Thomas (1747) & Philip (1745) (with many other siblings) at Gayton-Le-Marsh, sons of Thomas & Elizabeth.....so that marriage looks likely. |
