I searching for information on Mary Jermond/Jarman and her husband. Who was her husband? Did she or her daughter have an illegitimate son William Craven/Craner born 1867 who lived with them until 1892 when he married Emily Foster in Wandsworth. Who was Williams real father? Was he baptised in Devon?

Doesn't look like anybody is having any luck. As far as who she was married to, buying one of the children's birth certificates will give you that. Births Dec 1846 Jarman Elizabeth Newton Abbot 10 175 Births Mar 1853 Jarman Florence Louisa N. Abbot 5b 145
And getting William's birth cert may help with his parents.

As she's a widow in 1861, I guess this is a possibility.

Thank you for your replies. William Craven is in fact my grandfather. I do have some of the information that you have sent me. I still do not know who his parents were ie my great grandparents. William's marriage certificate states his father as George Hargreaves Craven (gentleman) - no other information. I have been unable to find a birth certificate for William. I do have a newspaper cutting from a family scrapbook, which makes it more complicated. The newspaper is about the death of a worsted manufacturer near Bradford, George Hargreaves in 1895 (aged 81) - is he a relative?.

What about the Beer- Jarman relationship? Is that a possibility?

I was wondering if Mary fostered these children and they were no relation at all. However that doesn't work with Hannah Rowland/Canham as she's with her parents in earlier censuses.
