Emily Jane Molcher born 1867 Dunstable Bedfordshire. Help Please

This has me completely stumped
I’m having a problem finding Emily Jane or any of her family from her birth in 1867,until she married in 1893 that is , I can’t find anything for 1871, 81, & 91 census on her or anything on her parents. I realise there could be a transcription error, but I’ve searched just using Christian names etc etc Surname variations etc etc.

I wondered if someone could please have a look to see if I have overlooked anything. Any assistance much appreciated

Backgound info

Emily Jane born 20 December 1867, Cross Street Dunstable., on her birth certificate her father is named as Joseph Molcher occupation Sawyer. Mother is Emily Molcher nee Butcher.

On 30 January 1893 she married one of my ancestors a George Henry Drury born 1868 Gloucester, at St Philips Church Battersea, occupation Railway guard, this is on Ancestry London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1921
her fathers occupation given as Joiner, witnesses on the record are Lizzie Molcher, maybe a relative, and a Frederick Walter Jenkins.

The witness on the marriage cert, Frederick Walter Jenkins, on the 1891 census he was living at 67 Sabine road Battersea, which is the address given on the marriage record of Emily & George. I don’t think he has any connection to George or Emily.
I have found a marriage of a Joseph MOLSHER to a Emily Butcher in 1846 Woburn Beds. which maybe Emily’s parents but I cant be totally sure. I know I could buy the cert. but might not give me anymore info than I already have

Please note I have all the details of Emily & George after they married, so no need to search for that info.

Many thanks

George

Gosh that sounds interesting, I wonder then if for some reason they changed their name.

I will pursue that in the later census records to see if it shows any further clues.

Much obliged for your help

Joseph's POB is given as Newport Pagnell, Bucks - which isn't that far from Woburn, where Joseph and Emily married - I think I would get that marriage cert if only to find out his father's name.

George, the same family is on the 1881 census - Emily is transcribed as Emily A but it could be a J.

The same Clark family are on the 1891 - it is definitely Emily J on that image and living next door is a George Molcher, 39, Sawyer, born Woburn Sands.

Potty

Potty Report 31 Oct 2013 15:06

Choccy, there is a Frederick William Clark at Cross street on the 1881 and 1891 censuses - it really does look as if there was a name change.

Have to go now - will look in later to see what George thinks.
