Find Ancestors

Could I please have some help to clarify which John Lawson is mine. All I know is that he married my Great Aunt Clara Kathleen Rosa Christian in 1940 Under the name of John H Lauson and Kathleen CR Christian. He died in 1943 in Bournemouth. Unfortunately there are 2 John Heslin Lawsons. One was born in West Ham in 1886 and the other in Newcastle in 1887 :-(. All I know of my John Lawson is that he went abroad to work on some sort of tea plantation, but know little else. My great aunt always referred to herself as Lady Lawson, but doubt if this is true! Please can anyone help me to connect to the right John Lawson, so I can correct my tree :-)

I don't see the death of a John H Lawson in Bournemouth in 1943, at least not on FreeBMD. There's this death, but wrong middle initial:

Thank you everyone. Not sure who his parents are as these 2 John Heslin Lawson's have very similar dates of birth. Its a strange middle name? He is a man of mystery. The UK passenger list seems to be right, but still cannot connect this to which family :-\ :-\

You said you knew that your John Lawson went to work on a tea plantation.

In that case, the passenger list is relevant.
Also the 1911 census record for the engineer is more likely to be the correct one than the insurance inspector.

As I said before, you need to buy the marriage cert and the death cert to find out for sure who his parents were.

The service records of the John Heslin Lawson posted above show him marrying Thomasina Tait Dickinson in Newcastle upon Tyne 29 November 1912.

So, Caroline's John Heslin Lawson can't be the one born in Newcastle because that one died 1922.

Those service records posted earlier do also contain a letter from his widow T T Lawson informing the army of her husband's death in 1922. The address details on other documents tally with the probate I posted.
