Find Ancestors

Hannah was born around 1823 and lived with her parents in Sowhill, Trevethin, Monmouthshire until she married John Roberts, a pattern-maker, on 22 Apr 1856 when they were both apparently resident at Llanhilleth, Monmouthshire. What happened to them thereafter?
There is an 1871 entry for Hannah Roberts living at Tredegar Street, Graig, Monmouthshire, (which is not far from Trevethin) with a John Roberts 10 years her junior, and three children-
Sarah Roberts, Mary Ann Roberts & Thomas Roberts.
With such a common surname I find it difficult 1) to be certain the 1871 couple are the same as the 1856 marriage certificate and 2) to find out what happened to any children (to have only 3 was fairly unusual in those times). I would love to trace Hannah & John plus all their children through to 1911. Any clues gratefully received.

I wonder if this could be Hannah's probate record.

Hannah Roberts oof "Henlan" Queen's Hill Newport Monmouthshire (Wife of John Roberts) died 24th July 1900 Administraton London 2 July to the said John Roberts Wheelwright. Effects £195.

Now I don't know whether this could be John Roberts on the 1911 census but it could be and he has remarried. I can't find a marriage but his new wife died in 1912.

The 1911 census says they have been married for 8 years.

Jane Bromwich Roberts 67 (Bromwich reads Brunswick on the census) born Torrington Devon. She has a drapery business.

John Is down as an Engineer Chambermaid which really made me laugh but it reads Mechanical on the actual paper!!! All this just goes to show how transcribers cna get it wrong.

This is the probate for his wife.

Roberts Jane Brunswick of 37 Commercial Rd Newport Monmouthshire (wife of John Roberts) died 22 July 1912 probate Llanaff 27th Aug to James Robert Willis Lamey outfitter and Jane Brunswick Willis Huntley (wife of Henry John Huntley) Effects £374. 15s. 1d.

So here we have their marriage in 1903.
