Find Ancestors

CATHERINE A TUCK was born in India 1897, her sister MARY TUCK was born 1894 also India. I have found them on the 1901 census living with their mother (Elizabeth Ann) I cannot find CATHERINE on the 1911, MARY is in service living in Wales.
I have found ELIZABETH ANN living with her husband(Edward George Tuck) and 3 children(all born after 1901) living at Newbury (1911) He states that he has been married for 11 years and has 3 children all still alive, so he is not including CATHERINE & MARY, when MARY married in Ireland in 1922 she states that her father was THOMAS TUCK (deceased) Can anyone help me sort this out and find CATHERINE. Thanks for any help.

Elizabeth Ann Rees was his second wife. They married in 1900.

Mary b. 19/02/1894 and Catherine Agnes b. 22/07/1897 would appear to be the children from his first marriage.

The 1911 census states correctly against Elizabeth's name that she had 3 children born and 3 still living.

Yes it said Wellington on FMP for Catherine I wonder where Syd got India from

All thanks to you finding her in 1911 Maureen. I had thought of her using Agnes as first name and had tried variations on the birthplace but had no "luck" :-D

TS - I think it said India on the 1901 census but then it was probably her stepmum who gave details. Also it may be that in 1911 Catherine Agnes just assumed that like her sister Mary she was born in India.


Just hope Syd comes back to find all this.
