Hi all, hoping someone can help, I was recently in Branxton, Northumberland and saw a plaque with my Grandfathers name on it as a soldier of WWI. He was born in Branxton March 17, 1884. I have not been able to locate his military record. Thank you so much for the assistance, greatly appreciated |

There is a tree on ancestry which has him getting married in Manitoba, Canada in 1913, and his death in 1961 in British Colombia. Are you sure it was your Robert on the memorial? |

Was the plaque about soldiers from Branxton who had served, not died? |

The tree on ancestry has him getting married 12/9/1913 to Winifred Mary Wallis, who was born 1884 Solihull. They have 5 children (2 private) but the other 3 born in Brandon, Manitoba. |
