I don't think it is the same Job Meigh, the marriage cert for Dinah would maybe confirm this she married in 1837 to John Plant and Dinah Plant married again in 1850 to Samuel Jenkinson . |

Job Meigh (55) is on the 1841 census, but no wife with him. He is then on the 1851/61 census with wife Elizabeth - I wonder if Sarah had died and he remarried - there's a possible marriage to Elizabeth Washington in 1848. |

The works of John Astbury (d. 1743) is said to have passed to John Baddeley (d. 1772) and are identified with the pottery on the west side of High Street (now Broad Street), Shelton. |

I've been trying for many years without success to find details about Dinah's parents. She was born to Job Meigh and 'Sarah' in around 1813 in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, but baptised in 1815 in Bucknall-cum-Bagnall. On her marriage certificate Dinah gives her father's occupation as 'potter'. I'm wondering if there's a connection to the Meighs of Ash Hall, an established pottery manufacturing family in the area, but I've been unable to find any marriage for a Job Meigh and a 'Sarah'. |
