Hi All,

Could someone please look on the 1861 for Mary Kelly born abt 1804 Ireland living in Nottingham RG9, Piece 2461, Folio 29, Pg 6 to see who she was with. I have lost my copy of the census. Then see if you can find her on 41 & 51 census please maybe in Macclesfield area. I know she had a daughter Ellen born 1835 Macclesfield who married John Gollicker in 1853. Ellen's father was said to be Patrick Kelly (Kelley).

The 1851 looks like her as Ellen is with her Thank you, and V Thank you that's the one so she was with The Gollicker's then. right just need the 1841 for her

The father isn't Patrick though, so the 41 and 51 might not be the correct family

Mmmm, It does seem odd, the marriage certificate is a typed copy so maybe the person who transcribed it made a mistake (not the first time this has happened) Maybe if I could find a baptism for Ellen & Dennis, I'm going to keep an opened mind on this one.

Could be them Ellen was 18y rs of aged when she married on 16 May 1853 so ages are out by 2yrs on the above census.

The census ages are all pretty consistent, so maybe she was only 16 when she married, she might have just added a couple of years on to make it look better as he was older
