Find Ancestors

Hello, I cannot in find the death record for Thomas Way born in Tyneham , Dorset
1891 .He married Gertrude Mabel Cornick April 23rd 1918 at Folke dorset but from then on I cannot find any information about them apart from her death in 1968 at Sturminster . I would be grateful for any advice or help.I hope this will be posted this time as I have tried 3 times this morning so far. Many thanks

Have you seen the birth registrations of their children?

You might need to purchase Gertrude's death cert, to find out whether she was described as 'wife of............', or 'widow'

Thank you Reggie , I have tried here and also Ancestry.co.uk with no luck , I cannot find out if they had children although I have a feeling that my uncle Fred Way was their son but I cannot find his birth or death or anything at all .I remember meeting him as a child when my mother visited him at Hazelbury Bryan but on questioning mum she seems to not remember his mum or dad but then she is 84 and its a long time ago. Their marriage is in the family bible and that's all , even her death was not recorded in there . Many thanks for you reply.

Buy Gertrude's death cert..............as I suggested earlier.............it should at least give you some sort of time-scale

Freebmd only goes to early 60's with Thomas Way deaths and those shown are the wrong age and/or have second name initials.

These show up elsewhere. Thomas Way b 1891 =/- 5 years between 1927 and 2000. Don't forget the age given is only to the best of knowledge of the informant - easy to be a year or so out.
