Hi Batman's Daughter (love the name)
Thank you so much. I have looked on GR and family search and have never been able to find Richard going to Canada.
Thanks also for the information on John. I had my suspicions that he also went to Canada.
People on here are just so helpful :-)
Thanks again.

Can someone please help me find Richard Charles baptised 1831 in Hereford going to Canada. His parents were John and Mary and he married Lillie Graham in Toronto in 1880. I know what happened to him after this time hut cannot find him leaving England.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi All
Just trying to follow up on same family - different tack.
Could someone please do look up for me (or point me in the right direction) for the marriage of Richard Charles born Michigan 1934. Parents are Reginald Charles and Ruby Long.
Many thanks.
Christine (not a new member but still need lots of help) :-)

Hi
I am still following up on my Charles family so hope I have attached it to the right thread!
I am trying to find out when Richard Charles born 1831 in Herefordshire emigrated to Canada. My first record of him in Canada is in 1880 when he married Lillie Graham and then a second marriage in 1887 to Ellen Taylor. He died in Canada in 1915.
I have looked on GR and Family Search but cannot find his journey.
Any help, as always, greatly appreciated.

Yes William and Mary had 2 children = Harold and Reginald. Harold had a son John b. 1922 and Reginald had a son Richard b. 1934. Sorry I meant that if I could track down children for John and Eunice then maybe I could find Richard. Apologies for any confusion.

I'm not an expert on Canada by any means but I do know that there aren't a lot of records available and they have much stricter privacy laws.
There are some voters lists from 1935 to 1980 but they don't give ages or relationships.
Is this in connection with Richard Charles?

Could be. My only other avenue is that Richard had a cousin John R Charles born 1922 died 1995 and he married Eunice Juanita Killian (1928 - 1989). I cannot find any children for them else I could look for Richard this way.

No i didn't find that page so thank. Maybe you are right about the time being too recent - I had wondered that.
Any suggestions as to how to look for someone in Canada (he could obviously still be alive)?

One more request if possible and please feel free to point me in the right direction again. I have been trying to find information on Richard Charles born 1934 in Michigan, USA. Father was Reginald F Charles, mother was Ruby Irene Long, I have been using Family Search but cannot find anything (unless I have not looked harder again)!
Thanks.

Christine, this is a link to map of Toronto at the time: http://static.torontopubliclibrary.ca/da/images/LC/maps-r-93.jpg
If you go down to the bottom of the map you'll see the Exhibition Grounds - there is a very evident wharf jutting out from there.
