Talking to one of my sisters. Lilian, was not my mum's sister only her half sister. Trying to find out if mum had had any blood siblings. :-S

I have just ordered a copy of my mother's birth cert. Lets hope this can give me the details I am looking for.

Looks like James re-married in 1951. What a sad story. Also cannot see any children to the marriage, so looks like a dead end.
Also, sadly, Nellie died in infancy.
The marriage found above is a strong possibility, but without more evidence I wouldn't be certain. I do think if it were me I would get a copy of the marriage cert, which would be nice to have anyway!

YES!! Lilian Stack must have been mum's sister. I remember an auntie Lil that mum talked about. It was very sad because this auntie was in Barrow Gurney which was a Mental institution in Bristol. Mum used to visit her. :-(
