So looking over everything there...seems like she was written down as Jane on the census, that's why I couldn't find her before...

I think the 1911 census record that GlitterBaby found is a different family to the one I found in 1901 as the children's names are different.

I feel that the family with Golda (or Gussy) is possibly the correct family.

You really will have to get birth certificates to be sure.

Susan Report 30 May 2013 00:49

oh dear..disappointing..could they have just simply made a mistake and only put 6 kids down because she had left home?

Susan

Susan Report 30 May 2013 00:46

Glitterbaby..yes that's the 1911 census so margaret would have been aged 19yrs at that time, so may not have been living at home?...

GlitterBaby

GlitterBaby Report 30 May 2013 00:40

Oh bother looking at that 1911 census it says 6 children born and 6 still alive

GlitterBaby

GlitterBaby Report 30 May 2013 00:38

Could be two families with similar names for mother and father

Susan

Susan Report 30 May 2013 00:38

I think you need her birth certificate so you know who her parents were. This would make it easier to find her in the census records.
