I could'nt find a birth/baptism for a Johnston, I think John James is him, as for the age difference, it all down to who fill in the census, in this case his father, so he may not of known his birth year and guessed it, it happens alot, back then people had little to no education, unless they came from a weathly family. Bessie is a pet name for Elizabeth. |

Thanks Maura...I am sure I got her WA marriage certificate (somewhere) and it said Bessie...must have taken her word for it! :-D |
