Born in Bristol 1876 (1st quarter so poss dec 75) 1st son born 1906, but wasnt around for 2nd son 1910. Rumour in family is he emigrated to Australia. Anyone got any access to ship records or marriage (bigamy) death in Australia. Had kids over there apparently. Thanks in advance

Can not make out occupation but some sort of driver

2nd son Douglas-born 1910. shows Frank as father on birth cert, but rumoured to have gone to Australia around 1907, Yes Annie remarried.

1911 census states 3 children born, 2 still alive, 1 has died - incase you haven't seen that census.

Just another thought - Torrington is a fairly unusual name. If other research isn't fruitful, you might try looking in White Pages - there are just 18 listed in NZ and 29 in Oz!
If he had other children abroad there just might be a descendant out there.
Or just google search 'torrington new zealand/australia', a few people's links come up.

The NZ Frank Torrington died in Wellington in 1946 (from Archway probate), but can't find it in NZ bdm's online.

Kate died in 1943 aged 65.

Frank and Kate had 3 children, but all were registered in 1939, looking at reg numbers. However, narrowing searches shows they were actually born between 1906 and 1911...!
