Find Ancestors

I wonder if Derek could have a look for me. Some time ago I contacted him and he agreed that my results regarding George Marsden (1843 or 1836 according to census) from Bakewell Derbyshire was correct. However I now find that his parents could not be John Marsden and Elisabeth Singleton as their son George married an Esther Wright and had a family in the North whilst my George worked as a cab driver in Westminster London and married Emma Storey from St Pancras.
This info comes from Neil Marsden and the Marsden Family Records.
As previously mentioned I have been unable to find a marriage for George and Emma who had their first child 1869 and so no name for a father of George can be verified. There seem to be several George Marsdens from Bakewell area around this date and I have checked some to see if and who they married but DEAD END.
Please help if you can...my mother in Australia is now 98 and desperate to trace her grandfathers ancestors.

George and Emma are my mothers grandparents.
As I do not know any of his past I am unable to trace him from Derbyshire to London. He gave his age as 36 in 1871 census 39 on 1881 and 49 on 1891 and 60 on 1901. His place of birth is always Derbyshire but sometimes Bakewell and other Matlock. He died 1907 and age given 65.

Yes that is correct for 1871 and it continues through like that til 1901. BUT NO MARRIAGE!!! so no parents for George.

sometimes there wasnt a marriage so yes like myself a total brick wall....unless you find another way through

For those attempting to help Sonya...have been working on this on my own Thread.........and it begins to look as though the original research was correct.......the only bugbear is there is no marriage for George marsden and Emma M Storey................which almost certainly took place, if at all..in London, because Emma was born in St. Pancras and all the children were born in London..so the marriage to Esther Wright is way out of the window..as is every other George Marsden i have found in Derbyshire......

as you say.the marriage may not even have taken place.........and the original query to Sonya was laden with error in that the George Marsden that was supposed to scupper my research was born 1845 in BARLOW..not BASLOW.....and i am still happy that the George marsden born Baslow 1843..son of John (Jno) and Elizabeth..is the correct one.................not helped by the fact that the Amcestry transcript for this man shows JAMES Marsden..whereas close inspection of the original shows JNO.......
